Quader to be shift to cabin Monday
Ailing Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, who is undergoing treatment at a Singaporean hospital, would be shifted to a cabin from the ICU on Monday as his health condition improved further, reports BSS.
“He (Quader) is talking to his family members and doctors normally… Tomorrow he is likely to be moved from the ICU to the cabin,” Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Director Dr Abu Naser Rizvi, who is staying beside the ailing politician, said this morning, according to a press release received here.
Earlier, Dr Sivathasan Cumaraswamy, cardiothoracic surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital apprised of the last update about the physical improvement of Quader to his family members.
Quader’s wife Isratunnesa Quader, his younger brother and Basurhat Pourashava Mayor Abdul Quader Mirza, Bangladesh High Commissioner to Singapore Mostafizur Rahman, Noakhali District AL general secretary and lawmaker Ekramul Karim Chowdhury, AL Deputy Publicity Secretary Aminul Islam, Gazipur City Corporation Mayor Jahangir Alam and other community leaders to Singapore were present on the occasion.
