Quader’s health condition improving
Quader was flown to Singapore on Monday for better treatment as per advice of renowned Indian cardiologist Dr Devi Shetty.

The health condition of ailing Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, who has been receiving treatment at Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital, is improving.

Doctor Koh Siam Soon Philip, a senior consultant cardiologist of the hospital, said this after describing the latest update on Quader’s health on Wednesday noon. 

After Philip’s briefing, Doctor Abu Naser, professor of cardiology department of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), informed the journalists.

At that time, Quader’s wife Begum Isratunnesa Quader, Bangladesh High Commissioner to the Singapore Mostafizur Rafhman, Noakhali district Awami League (AL) secretary Ekramul Karim Chowdhury, Feni district AL secretary Nizam Uddin Hajari, Dhaka Metropolitan South AL secretary Md Shahe Alam Murad, Gazipur City Corporation mayor Jahangir Alam were present among others. 

Quader was flown to Singapore on Monday for better treatment as per advice of renowned Indian cardiologist Dr Devi Shetty.

He was admitted to the BSMMU on Sunday morning following breathing complications. Later, doctors conducted an angiogram and found three blockages in his coronary arteries.
