Eminent cardiologist of India Doctor Devi Shetty arrived in Dhaka on Monday to examine ailing Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.

A chartered plane carrying the cardiologist landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 12:45pm.

Later he went to Bangabandhu Medical College Hospital (BSMMU) around 1:30 pm where Quader has been receiving treatment after a massive heart attack.

He is now examining Quader, said Doctor SM Mostofa Zaman, Professor of the cardiology department of BSMMU.

However, Quader would be taken to Singapore for the better treatment today.

Earlier on Sunday morning, Quader was admitted to BSMMU after he fell sick at 7 am. The doctors had found three blockages in his coronary artery following an angiogram.
