Obaidul Quader hospitalized
The Road Transport and Bridges Minister and also the General Secretary of Awami League (AL) has been hospitalized.
He was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) after he fell sick at 7 am on Sunday. Later he was shifted to Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
Prashanta Kumar, Public Relations Officer of BSMMU, said Quader was admitted to the hospital with the heart disease problem.
Abu Naser, Public Relations Officer to the minister, said Quader complained of breathing problem after Fazr prayers and was taken to the BSMMU immediately.
“He underwent an angiogram at the hospital, and doctors are treating him based on the angiogram report,” said Abu Naser.
The Organizing Secretary of AL and also the Water Resources Deputy Minister Enamul Haque, who visited Quader at the hospital, said he (Quader) fell sick at his own residence at 6 am. Later he was rushed to BSMMU at 7:30 am.
