The raising of age limit to 35 years for government jobs is fake, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said today.

“I didn’t say anything about the raising of age limit to 35 years for entering government jobs. It’s a false and fabricated,” Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister said, this at a press conference at the party president’s Dhanmondi political office.

Earlier on Friday, some news media reported that Obaidul Quader said the government is planning to announce 35 years to be the maximum age for applying for government jobs.

“An announcement in this regard will be made in the next month,” the news media reported quoting Quader.

The minister said this when a 23-member team headed by Bangladesh General Students Council Central Committee joint convener Harun-ur-Rashid met him at the party president's Dhanmondi office in the capital, the news media added.
