BNP holds human chain protesting JS session

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Wednesday formed a human chain protesting the session of 11th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) at the National Press Club in the capital.  

The leaders and activists hold a banner reading “human chain protesting the parliament of fake votes” at 11am.

Among others, the party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee Member Dr Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain, Organizing Secretary Syed Emran Saleh Prince and Publicity Secretary Shaheed Uddin Chowdhury Anny were present. 

The maiden session of the 11th parliament will begin at 3:00pm today. Awami League formed the government for the third consecutive term following its landslide victory in the national elections.

BNP rejected the election results with the allegation of massive vote robbery and demanded re-election.

Eight MPs of the party and its alliance partner Gano Forum elected in the election have not taken oath yet.
