BNP candidate withdraws nomination from Gaibandha-3

BNP candidate Moynul Hasan Sadik on Thursday noon withdrew his nomination paper in the parliamentary election to Gainbandha-3 constituency to be held on January 27.
Terming the 11th parliamentary elections, which was held on December 30 last year, as a mockery, Sadik, also the president of Gaibandha district BNP, announced this at a press conference held at the party office on Thursday noon.
Later he submitted a letter for withdrawal nomination to Gaibandha Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Abdul Matin.
The election for this constituency was postponed after BNP-led 20-party candidate TIM Fazley Rabbi passed away on December 20 last year.
As per the new election schedule, the last date for nomination submission was January 2.
