Mashrafe addresses poll rallies in Narail

Bangladesh national cricket team’s current ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortuza, who is contesting the 11th parliamentary elections on Awami League (AL) ticket from Narail-2 constituency, today urged the people to vote for ‘boat’.

“Prime Minister (Sheikh Hasina) has given a chance to me for serving you. Please cast your votes for ‘boat’ (election symbol of Awami League) if you love me,” he said, addressing a street rally organized by Narail district unit of AL at Lohagara in Narail.

Seeking dowa (blessing) for him, Mashrafe said, “I will try to meet voters in all unions. I will come again to you”.

Narail district unit AL General Secretary Nizam Uddin Khan Nilu, Organizing Secretary and Paurashabha Mayor Biswash Jahangir Alam, Lohagara upazila unit AL Preside Sikder Abdul Hannan Ronu and Mashrafe’s father Mortuza Swapan were present at the rally, among others.

Later, Mashrafe addressed different street rallies at Erenda bus station, Naksi Madrasah Bazar bus station and Bangabandhu Chattar of old bus terminal of the town here.
