Municipal mayor detained for beating Nasimon driver

Members of DB police have detained the mayor of Sonargaon municipality in Narayanganj Sadekur Rahman for beating a Nasimon driver.
A team of DB police detained him from his own residence at Goali area in the municipality on Tuesday at 12:45am.
The mayor has been kept at DB office, said Inspector Enamul Haque.
On December 15, Sadekur Rahman was returning from an election campaign of Jatiya Party candidate Liakor Hossain Khoka and his car collided with a Nasimon in front of the Sonargaon museum.
Later Sadekur Rahman beat the Nasimon driver with an iron stick mercilessly.
