Former AL lawmaker Rony joins BNP

Former Awami League lawmaker Golam Maula Rony has joined its arch-rival Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
Rony went to BNP chairperson’s political office in the capital’s Gulshan at around 6 pm where BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir welcomed him.
Speaking on the occasion, Rony said he joined BNP consciously deserting his party Awami League.
Later, he received the BNP nomination letter for contesting the general election from Patuakhali-3.
