Over 90,000 cases filed against BNP men in last 10 years
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has claimed 90,340 cases filed against its 25,70,540 supporters in the last 10 years.
At least 75, 925 supporters have been serving jail time now.
A two members BNP delegation led by its information official Salahuddin Khan revealed this while submitting the cases list to the chief election commissioner KM Nurul Huda in the capital’s Agargaon on Sunday.
BNP claimed a total of 773 party men arrested after announcing polls schedule.
On November 16, BNP sent the list of 472 detained supporters to the CEC.
According to BNP, more than one thousand supporters have been killed in the past one decade.
BNP alleged members of the law enforcers are still continuing their ‘unlawful’ activities ignoring election commission directives.
