It was a planned attack, alleges Rizvi

The senior joint secretary general of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, alleged the attack on their supporters by the incumbent government was a planned one.

He came up with the remarks while addressing an immediate protest rally in front of BNP’s Naya Paltan office this noon.

On the other hand, Anwar Hossain, the deputy commissioner of Motijheel zone, told journalists the supporters of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) attacked police without any provocation.

They set fire to a police pickup van during the clash that took place following the gathering on the road of Naya Paltan to collect nomination forms around 12:45 pm.
