Kader Siddiqui joins Oikyafront

The president of Krishak Sramik Janata League (KSJL) Kader Siddiqui has formally joined eminent jurist Dr Kamal Hossain-led Jatiya Oikyafront.

Kader Siddiqui on Monday announced his joining to Oikyafront at a press conference at his party office in the capital’s Motijheel.

Kader Siddiqui was supposed to come up with the announcement of joining the Oikyafront at a discussion at the Institution of Engineers in presence of Dr Kamal Hossain on Saturday, but he took time to take the final decision in this regard. 

Oikyafront, a new political alliance, was formed on October 13.

The alliance’s demands include: the dissolution of parliament; election observing by a non-partisan government; the release of political prisoners, including BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia; and the withdrawal of “false cases” against opposition activists.
