Dialogue with PM: Dr Kamal to lead Oikyafront

The chief of the Oikyafront and also the president of the Gono Forum, Dr Kamal Hossen, is going to lead the 16-member delegation team to meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The dialogue is fixed at Gono Bhaban, the official residence of the premier, on November 1.

The decision was made from an Oikyafront’s meeting at the chamber of Kamar Hossen in the capital’s Motijheel, ASM Abdur Rob, the spokesperson of the Oikyafront, told journalists following the meeting on Tuesday.

He said Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will join the dialogue. BNP’s standing committee members the likes of Moudud Ahmed, Khandakar Mosharraf Hossen, Mirza Abbas and Gayeswar Chandra Roy are expected to join the occasion. Besides, delegators form the Gono Forum, JSD, Nagorik Oikya and Oikya Prokria is going to attend the dialogue.

Earlier on Sunday, Jatiya Oikyafront sent a letter to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina seeking a dialogue over the national election.

In reply, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday in a letter invited them for talks over national polls.
