Eid holidaymakers’ journey was pleasant this time: Quader
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Wednesday said the journey of holidaymakers towards their village homes ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha was relatively pleasant this time, reports BSS.
“Return of the home-goers will also be hassle free and better,” the minister hoped after offering his Eid-ul-Azha prayers at Otarhat Eidgah under Kabirhat upazila of the district.
Quader, also general secretary of the ruling Awami League (AL), has sounded a note of warning against BNP, saying, “If BNP resorts to terrorist activities again like 2014 by boycotting the upcoming general election, a befitting reply will be given to the party with taking the people into the fold of AL.”
Among others, Kabirhat Upazila AL President Nurul Amin Rumi, general secretary and mayor of Kabirhat municipality Zahirul Haque Raihan and local leaders of the party were present on the occasion.
