Govt nothing to do for Khaleda: Quader

The government has nothing to do over the participation of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in the next national election. Everything will be directed as per court order.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader came up with the remarks while responding to reporters’ queries after paying tribute to the graveyard of Sheikh Jamal, the second son of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, marking his 65th birthday.

BNP does not want that Tarique Rahman returns the country and involves in politics overcoming jail-oppression. He doesn’t also have the courage to accept that, Quader said over Tarique Rahman who is living in UK seeking political asylum.

Later, he attended a prayer programme while AL Joint secretaries Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Organizing secretary Ahmad Hossain, AFM Bahauddin Nasim, AKM Enamul Haque Shamim, Science and Technology Secretary Engineer Abdus Sabur were also present there.
