Gatco case: Order on Khaleda`s pleas Aug 5

The High Court will give its decision on BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s pleas challenging the legality of Gatco graft trial proceedings on Wednesday.

The HC bench of justice Md Nuruzzaman and Justice Abdur Rob fixed the date on Sunday morning.

Khaleda`s lawyer Barrister Ragib Rouf said the HC had kept pending its verdict to be delivered any day after closing arguments in the trial of the petitions.

The Gatco case was filed on Sep 2, 2007 against 13 including Khaleda and her youngest son, the late Arafat Rahman Coco.
