BNP can't tolerate stable situation of country: Quader
Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Sunday said BNP could not accept the stable condition of the country as there is no issue for waging movement, reports BSS.
"Their (BNP) dream of waging movement centering quota reformation issue has been blended with air like camphor. So being frustrated, they are now talking nonsense as they have no issue for waging movement," he said at a meeting of AL Sub-Committee on Religious Affairs held at AL President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's political office in the city's Dhanmondi area.
Peace and stability are prevailing across the country, the AL general secretary said, adding "But BNP could not tolerate this. Even they could not enjoy the spontaneous and colorful celebration of the Pahela Baishakh".
Blaming BNP for doing dirty politics on the eve of Pahela Baishakh, Quader said thousands of people celebrated the day across the country.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina delivered speech greeting the country's people at a programme in city, he said, adding "But she (PM) did not deliver any speech squinting BNP. Even, I myself delivered speech at Bahadur Shah Park on the day, but I did not attack BNP in my speech".
However, their dirty politics centering the occasion is unfortunate," he said.
