Khaleda not well, but her morale is strong: Fakhrul

Physical condition of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is not so good in jail but her morale is very strong. 

Secretary General of BNP Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said these while talking to reporters after meeting Khaleda in old Dhaka central jail on Friday afternoon.

Demanding the immediate permit of Khaleda’s personal physicians he alleged that ailing Madam is not getting necessary treatment as her personal doctors are not allowed to meet her.

Earlier Mirza Fakhrul reached at the jail gate at around 4 pm to visit Khaleda Zia.

A Dhaka court on February 8 awarded Begum Khaleda Zia five years imprisonment in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case. The other accused were given ten years rigorous imprisonment including Tarique Rahman. They were also fined.

After the verdict Khaleda Zia was taken to old central jail at Nazimuddin Road in old Dhaka.
