Jatiya Party will go to power with people’s support: Ershad
Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad today expressed his optimism that his party will go to power as JP has gained enough strength through people’s support to win in the next parliament election.
"The next election should be held by forming an election-time government comprising the elected representatives in the present Jatiya Sangsad. The polls-time cabinet will extend cooperation to the Election Commission in holding the election," he told a grand rally of the Jatiya Party led Sammilita Jatiya Jote at the Suhrawardy Udyan, reports BSS.
Highlighting different development activities carried out during his stay in power, the former president said if his party is voted to power, people of every village and union will remain in peace.
Jatiya Party senior co-chairman Begum Rawshan Ershad expressed her hope that the party will again come to power in the next national polls as the people would lend their support to the Jatiya Party.
Party's secretary general Ruhul Amin Hawlader urged the people to cast their votes in favour of Jatiya Party to bring Ershad to power for ensuring the country's peace and security.
