BCL suspends 12 leaders, activists at SUST after clash
Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), a student wing of Bangladesh Awami League, has suspended twelve leaders and activists of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) unit following a factional clash on Tuesday night.
BCL on Wednesday in a press release signed by its president and general secretary said that they have been suspended for violating the disciplinary rules of the organization.
Two of them-Abu Syeed Akhand and Sajidul Islam Sabuj have been suspended permanently from the member post of BCL central body and remaining others temporarily.
Other suspended leaders and activists are Vice-president Sayed Zuem, Joint-secretary Ashraful Alam Antu, Organizing Secretary Dolon Ahmed, Freedom fighters affairs Deputy-secretary Lakhman Chandra Barman and Members Munkir kazi, Taufiqur Rahman Tanmoy, Basir Mia, Activists Meher Uddin Himel, Rayhan Ahmed and Sariful Islam.
It is mentionable that a student of the university has been severely injured in gunfire while a clash took place between two factions of SUST unit Chhatra League leaders centering the supremacy on the campus on Tuesday night.
