Good-bye to Pakistan’s proxies: Inu

Information minister and president of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASHOD) Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, today said that on March 7, 1971 Bangabandhu bid farewell to Pakistan, similarly we have to say good-bye to the "proxies" of Pakistan now.

Speaking at two meetings, one at the Col. Taher auditorium at Bangabandhu Avenue and the other at the National Museum, the minister in identical speeches made these remarks, BSS reported.

"We could not reach a compromise with Pakistan. Similarly, we cannot find a compromising formula for Pakistan's proxies, like Khaleda Zia. Those who had love for Pakistan in those days could not understand that Pakistan was always conspiratorial and in denial of Bangladesh. Those who are advocating for compromise with Pakistan's proxy, Khaleda Zia, do not understand that it is not possible. She still remains in love with Razakars," Inu said.

The minister said that through the March 7 speech, Bangabandhu had effectively taken over control of Bangladesh and prepared an unarmed population for battle. The recognition of this historical speech by the UN has made it a model known, globally.

He said Bangabandhu understood that there was no point talking with the Pakistanis.

"We've to understand that there is no point or logic talking to their proxies, either," he added.
