Nazmul Huda urges Khaleda not to cut cake on 15th

Bangladesh National Front (BNF) Chairman and former minister Barrister Nazmul Huda on Satuday urged BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia not to observe her birthday by cutting cakes on August 15, the National Mourning Day.

Nazmul Huda said this while speaking as chief guest at a human chain in front of National Press Club in the city at 11 am.

"We know that August 15 is Begum Zia`s birthday. It is better to observe the day on another date. It is my request to Begum Zia", he said and requested Khaleda Zia to take part in mourning day programs.

Barisal district Awami League President Talukder Mohammad Yunus, MP, attended the programme as special guest.

Presided over by Ganatantrik League President MA Jalil, the rally was also addressed by Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote General Secretary Arun Sarkar Rana, NAP leader Moshtaq Ahmed Bhashani and Kazi Aref Foundation President Kazi Masud Ahmed, among others.
