AL’s weeklong programmes to mark historic March 7

The ruling Awami League has taken weeklong programmes to observe the historic March 7, the day Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman delivered the historic speech, reports BSS.

The programmes included meetings and processions at each district, upazila, pourashavas, union and ward level across the country, transmissions of Bangabandhu's address, holding of rally, display of photography, setting up billboards, arranging cultural functions and publications of poster and festoon, said a party release.

The UNESCO has included the historic March 7 address of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman into 'The Memory of the World Register lists documentary heritage' on October 31 in 2017, said the release.

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has urged different associate bodies including the ruling Awami League to observe the historic March 7 amid colourful programmes.
