BNP rejects claim on Khaleda’s assets in abroad
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir once again dismissed on Monday prime minister Sheikh Hasina's allegations of illegal properties of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia in the Middle East.
The BNP leader emphatically stated that there is no existence of any such assets of the former prime minister, Khaleda Zia, or her family members anywhere in the world.
“We've looked into the matter and there is no existence of such properties. The allegations are false and fabricated,” said Mirza Fakhrul.
The BNP leader came up with these comments while distributing winter clothes among the poor at the High Court mazar area. The distribution was organised by Dhaka BNP (South) to mark the birthday of BNP senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman.
The BNP secretary general claimed that the government was trying to come up with false allegations. He urged the government to prove the allegations if possible. Dhaka city BNP (South) president and also joint secretary general of the central committee Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel was along the leaders present at the programme.
