Ex-footballer Aminul detained

Detective Branch of Police on Tuesday detained former national footballer Aminul Haque from Kadam Foara area in front of the High Court.

He is the sports secretary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party.

BNP chairperson’s media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter to the Jagonews24.com. But the police denied the matter.

Jafar Ali Biswas, Inspector of the Shahbagh Police Station, told Jagonews24.com that, “Seven people have been detained for creating anarchy but he didn’t sure about his (Aminul) detention.” 

It is mentionable that, a group of activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal clashed with police near High Court as police tried to foil their attempt to bring out a procession after BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia left the Dhaka’s Fifth Special Judges Court at Bakshibazar on Tuesday afternoon.
