People want change: Khaleda Zia
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia said that the people of the country want change and the change must be through a fair election under neutral government.
She came up with the remarks while addressing a rally at the Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on the occasion of “National Revolution and Solidarity Day” on Sunday afternoon.
The former prime minister asked the election commission to create the environment in which the people can exercise their voting rights without any fear.
“A fair election is not possible under Sheikh Hasina. The election have to be held under a neutral government.” she said.
She demanded deployment of the army for the polls. “Not only that, they should be given magistracy powers.”
The former prime minister also said they do not want electronic voting machines or EVMs in the next election.
