A Dhaka court on Monday placed Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Maqbul Ahmad on a 3-day remand in a case filed for carrying out sabotage in 2015.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sadbir Yasir Ahsan Choudhury passed the order when the police produced the Jamaat chief before the court and sought 7-day remand.

In 2015, police filed the case with Motijheel Police Station for carrying out sabotage in the area during the hartal enforced by BNP.
