AL expects neutrality from EC, not favour: Quader
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said today his party does not want any favour from the Election Commission but the neutrality.
He came up with the remarks while talking to newsmen emerging from a function at the Krishibid Institution at Khamarbari here.
Quader, also the Road Bridges and Transport Minister, said the Chief Election Commissioner did not make comments on the role of Ziaur Rahman in the press briefing but in the dialogue with BNP.
“We will take part in the dialogue with the Election Commission. Then we would want to know from the EC about the matter,” he said.
He said a happy mood is prevailing in BNP after holding talks with the EC, reports BSS.
The Awami League general secretary urged the BNP to keep up the happy mood till the next parliament election.
Earlier, the minister joined the inaugural function of a food exhibition and a fair marking the World Food Day.
