No politics over CJ’s sickness: Nasim

Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim today said chief justice is sick and none should do politics with the sickness of him.

"Anyone may fall sick anytime, our honourable Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha is sick and under doctor's observation, he is not house arrested," he said.

He was speaking as the chief guest at a national advocacy meeting on 'Accelerating Implementation of National Nutrition Services (AINNS) agenda at a city hotel.

Nasim said, "Chief Justice is going to visit doctors abroad and it is totally his personal matter, then why should we interfere over this issue?"

"Let us all pray for his health and that is what we should do, not politicising an issue like this." he added.

Urging the BNP leaders to be honest on politics, Nasim, also the Presidium member of Awami League, said, "Come, do the politics at field, politics is not any paper work that you can do it on table in a room."

Nasim also urged BNP leaders to help the government in tackling Rohingya crisis saying, "World leaders are praising our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for giving shelters to Rohingyas with her motherly affection on humanitarian ground...But they (BNP) are not able to understand the issue as they are malnourished."

"We are proud that we have a courageous Prime Minister like Sheikh Hasina, who is a 'Mother of Humanity' giving Rohingyas shelter with other basic facilities," he added.

The minister also stressed the need to build national vision for collective action so that every child and woman has the access to get nutrition services.

Institute of Public Health Nutrition (IPHN) and Line Director of National Nutrition Services (NNS) Dr ABM Muzharul Islam, Programme Manager Dr SM Mustafizur Rahman, Additional Secretary of Health Ministry Roxana Quader and UNICEF Nutrition Chief Anuradha Narayan were present, among others.
