Probe report against Khaleda on 13 Oct
A Dhaka court fixed October 13 for the submission of the probe report against BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and three other BNP leaders in a case for killing 42 people during hartal and blockade programmes enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliances after January 5, reports UNB.
Dhaka Metropoliton Magistrate Maruf Hossain passed the order.
Earlier on February 2, AB Siddique, president of Bangladesh Jananetri Parishad, a pro-Awami League organisation filed the complaint against Khaleda Zia, BNP standing committee member Rafiqul Islam Mia, BNP vice chairman Shamsher Mubin Chowdhury and Prof Emajuddin Ahmed in this connection.
After hearing the complaint, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Atikur Rahman ordered Gulshan police to investigate the allegations.
