No dialogue with BNP: Quader
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today warned of no further dialogue and correlation with the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) until the party chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia would stop her fake birthday observation on August 15.
Obaidul Quader told the Journalists after paying tribute at the portrait of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in front of the Bangabandhu Bhaban at Dhanmondi marking the National Mourning Day here this morning.
Quader said "Khaleda Zia has disrupted the normal flow of democracy through observing her fake birth day on August 15... She is also spoiling the environment of holding dialogue by observing her fake birthday. Her birthday on 15 August is a fake according to his marriage certificate and passport."
The Awami League general secretary said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina went to meet with Begum Khaleda Zia after the death of her son Arafat Rahman Koko, but Khaleda didn't meet with the Prime Minister, adding that if Begum Zia would meet with the Prime Minister then a field would create for holding dialogue.
The environment of holding dialogue is being tarnished due to past activities of the BNP and observation of fake birth day on August 15, the minister added.
"We are trying to bring back the fugitive killers of Bangabandhu”, he said.
