FM’s remark on 16th amendment a contempt of court: Rizvi

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Rizvi Ahmed said the statement of the Finance Minister AMA Muhith on 16th amendment of constitution is a contempt of court and contrary to the rule of law.

Rizvi on Saturday said this at a press conference at the party’s central office at Naya Paltan in the capital.

Earlier, on Friday noon Finance Minister said the sixteenth amendment of the constitution will be passed in the national parliament newly how many times the court will reject it.

Muhith came up with the statement while talking to the reporters after visiting the site of Sylhet Medical University at Dakshin Surma.

Rizvi criticised the government for the irregularities in hajj flight management by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, accusing the Ministries of Aviation and Religious Affairs of failure to ensure proper regulations and management of hajj flights and the well being of the hajj pilgrims.
