Rizvi`s bail and remand pleas rejected

A Dhaka court on Monday rejected the bail and remand prayers of BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi in three cases of vandalism, arson and petrol bomb attack during the hartal called by BNP-led 20 party alliance. .

Metropolitan Magistrate Shamsul Arefin passed the order.

The investigation officer produced Rizvi before the court and pleaded for remand of seven days. AC of police Mirash Uddin conducted the hearing for the government.

The court rejected the plea for remand and asked to interrogate Rizvi at jail gate within three working days.
