‘Khaleda won’t be allowed to do politics on public sufferings’

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia will not be allowed to do politics cashing on public sufferings.

"Begum Zia did not go to landslide areas in Chittagong Hill Tracts and flood-hit haor region to stand beside the victims . . . she has resorted to falsehood sitting in the capital," he told newsmen while inaugurating the online webpage, scale load and scale stamp system at Meghna-Gomti bridge toll plaza on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Daudkandi in Comilla.

The minister said Khaleda Zia is doing politics by capitalizing on public sufferings to make the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina`s foreign tour questionable.

High officials of Roads and Highways Department`s Comilla region were present on the occasion.
