JP wants to participate in proper election: Ershad

Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad has said his party will take part in next national election and that must be held in proper environment.

“We don’t want caretaker government for holding the election but want logic and proper environment for the same,” he further said while addressing the district unit council of the party held in a city restaurant here today as the chief guest.

He says JP has no trust on caretaker government as it failed to do equal behave towards all parties in the previous elections.

Ershad said his party is ready to take part in the election and will give candidate nomination for all 300 seats.

“We are demanding provincial government and change in election process for long,” he added. He clarified that no election was held beyond debate as yet. “We want such type of election so that none can raise any question about it,” Ershad opined.

He said, “We want to do provincial government and Rajshahi will be a province of the government which will be named as ‘Barendra Prodesh’.”

Secretary General ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader, Vice-chairman Nurul Islam, Presidium Members Foisal Chisty, Mujibur Rahman, Sunil Shuva Roy, Khaled Akter, Kazi Firoj Rashid and Joint Secretary Tofazzal Hossain also spoke. District unit President Prof Abul Hossain chaired the meeting.
