MRI scan needs to identify real BNP: Suranjit

Awami League advisory council member and also former railways minister Suranjit Sengupta, MP, on Monday said the real BNP cannot be identified as it has become a power-based party involved in conspiracies.

"The magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan is required to identify which faction of BNP is real as X-Ray machine couldn`t identify the fake BNP," he said while speaking at a discussion in the capital.

Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote (BSJ) organized the discussion on "World`s Brave Leader Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina" on the occasion of 98th birth anniversary of former prime minister Shaheed Captain Mansur Ali, also a close aide of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Suranjit was very critical of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and said, "BNP also fixed the share of party`s ownership between mother (Khaleda) and son (Tareque Rahman)."

Taking part in the discussion, former environment and forests minister Dr Hasan Mahmud said the quarter which unleashed the terrors and killed many innocent people in the name of democratic movement should be brought into justice.

Referring to the report of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) on garment industry, Dr Hasan, also AL publicity and publication secretary, blasted TIB for helping the clique hatching conspiracy to destroy country`s garment sector.

Former state minister for home affairs Advocate Shamsul Haque Tuku, vice-chancellor of World University Prof Dr Abdul Mannan, among others, took part in the discussion with NSJ president Arun Sarker Rana in the chair.
