Killers, robbers are enemies of Islam: Shajahan

Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan on Wednesday said the people who are involved in killing and robbery in the name of religion are the enemies of Islam.

"Those who are using Islam to carry out misdeeds are the enemies of Islam. They must be identified to protect the Islam," he said while exchanging views with Alems-Mashayekhs here today. Journalist Abed Khan, Ismat Quader Gama, Kamal Pasha, Maolana Fariduddin Masud and Principal Abdul Ali, among others, spoke on the occasion.

Shajahan Khan who is also the convener of Antarjatik Judhaparad Ganobichar (International War Crimes Mass Trial) said when BNP-Jamaat was killing transport workers, police and general people by launching petrol bomb attacks in 2014-15, general activists of BNP`s labor front was against such activities. Because they realized that killing of general people cannot be politics, he added.

Maolana Fariduddin Masud expressed solidarity with the trials of war criminals and said Alems- Mashayekhs assisted the Liberation War in different ways.
