AL pays over Tk 14.68 lakh as income tax in 2015-16

The ruling Awami League made a payment to the tune of Taka 14,68,561 as income tax in 2015-2016 financial year.

"At about 12 noon on Tuesday, the income tax return of Awami League was submitted with tax zone-1," AL Central Working Committee (ALCWC) member Sujit Roy Nandi said.

A five-member delegation of the party led by Nandi and assistant secretary of AL sub-committee Mahmud Hasan Ripon submitted the tax return.

Awami League`s E-TIN (Electronic Tax Identification Number) is 656766640077. Awami League is the taxpayer of tax circle-20 of tax zone-1.

The total income of Awami League was to the tune of Taka 9,05,45,643 in the tax year 2015-2016 and the total expenditure was Taka 3,44,40,821 while the party made a payment of Taka 14,68,561 as income tax.
