BNP faces debacle in movement, election: Quader

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said BNP has been facing debacle in the politics of election like the movement.

"BNP is now making erratic behavior following the defeat and the party has turned into a failed political party," he told a discussion arranged by Jatiya Sramik League in front of Awami League`s office at Bangabandhu Avenue in the city.

The minister said BNP is now hatching conspiracy to create instability in the readymade garments sector after losing the Narayanganj City Corporation polls. "BNP is instigating terrorism to destroy the communal harmony to halt the development activities of the country," he said.

Quader said but the country, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, can never fail.

The minster urged the party leaders and workers to work together to strengthen Awami League to take ahead the country`s development activities.

Awami League Joint General Secretary said the Bengali nation has become a united one through the Liberation War.

"But BNP founder and military ruler Ziaur Rahman had established Pakistani ideology in the country by grabbing state power after the assassination of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman," he said.

Hanif said Ziaur Rahman had divided the nation by destroying the spirit of Liberation War and the nation has been paying high price for it.
