Pro-AL blue panel sweeps DUTA polls

The pro-Awami League blue panel swept in the Dhaka University Teachers Association (DUTA) election as it bagged 14 out of 15 executive committee posts.

The blue panel`s Farid Uddin Ahmed and ASM Maksud Kamal have been re-elected president and general secretary respectively for the third time.

DUTA Election Commissioner Professor Sharif Ullah Bhuiyan announced the results this afternoon at the university`s teachers club. The voting was held between 10am to 2pm on Sunday.

M Lutfor Rahman was elected an executive committee member in the polls from pro-BNP-Jamaat white panel.
