Nasim urges BNP to accept president`s decision on search committe

Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim yesterday urged BNP to accept the decision of the President on the formation of the search committee for constituting the next Election Commission (EC).

"The decision which would be given by the President on forming the search committee would be accepted by the Awami League and the 14-party alliance...we hope you [BNP] will accept it without creating any trouble," said the minister as the chief guest while addressing a discussion at Diploma Engineers Institution at Kakrail here.

Jatiya Party (JP) organized the meeting to mark the Victory Day while its Chairman and Environment and Forest Minister Anwar Hossain Manju chaired it. The meeting also was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal Dilip Barua and JP`s Secretary General Sheikh Shahidul Islam.

Nasim said the next election would be held in 2019 under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and urged BNP to participate in the election.
