Selina Hyat calls for peaceful atmosphere during NCC Polls
Awami League nominated mayoral candidate Dr. Salina Hyat Ivy Wednesday called for maintaining a total peaceful atmosphere during the upcoming Narayanganj City Corporation polls and urged the voters to remain alert against any conspiracy to foil it.
“A conspiracy is on to destroy the prevailing peaceful atmosphere in the port city and anyone trying to create anarchy and lawlessness to undermine the peaceful atmosphere in 27 wards of NCC would not be tolerated,” she said.
Addressing a press conference at Narayanganj Club here, she paid her tributes to the memory of the martyred intellectuals, who were brutally killed by the Pakistani army and its local collaborators on this day, only two days ahead of the ultimate victory achieved on December 16, 1971, following an nine-month bloody War of Liberation.

Islami Andolon Bangladesh Party nominated candidate Mufti Masum Billah and Bangladesh Biplobi Worker’s Party candidate Advocate Mahabubur Rahman Ismail were present on the occasion.
