BNP writes letter to President
BNP has sent a letter to President Abdul Hamid seeking his appointment to discuss on reformation of Election Commission, said Sayrul Kabir, an officer of media wing of the party’s chairperson.
A delegation of BNP, comprising co- office secretary Munir Hossain and Belal Ahmed, and co-publicity secretary Asadul Karim Shahin conveyed the letter, which is signed by the party’s secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alomgir, to the President’s office on Wednesday afternoon.
Earlier, Mirza Fakhrul at a press conference on Wednesday noon said that BNP sought appointment to President to present Begum Kaleda Zia’s 13-point proposal on reformation and strengthening of EC. But the military secretary of president yet to response in this regard. That’s why BNP will again seek appointment to President.
