Gayeshwar gets HC bail

The High Court on Sunday granted bail to BNP standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy in a violence case filed with Rampura Police Station.

An HC bench comprising Justice Md Rezaul Haque and Justice Mohammad Khoshruzzaman passed the order.

Advocate Nitai Roy Chowdhury, said now there is no legal bar to the BNP standing committee member’s release from jail.

Nitai also said that the HC granted bail to his client accepting the appeal; so he (Goyeshwar) is now on bail in all 27 cases against him.

Earlier on November 4, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy was sent to jail again after he surrendered before a court in a violence case filed with Rampura Police Station.
