SC to hear review pleas of Salauddin, Mujahid Nov 17

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on Monday fixed November 17 the hearing on review petitions of condemned war criminals Salauddin Quader Chowdhury and Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed against its verdicts upholding their death penalties for their crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971.
A four-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, passed the order.
In the petition, the lawyer said they need time for taking preparation to place arguments on the review petitions.
Earlier on October 20, SC Chamber Judge Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain on fixed today (Monday) for the hearing of the review petitions of condemned war crimes convicts Ali Ahsan Muhammad Mojaheed and Salauddin Quader Chowdhury .
