Joy to join AL council

Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the ICT adviser to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, will join the Awami League (AL) national council to be held on October 22-23, AL Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif said on Thursday.

‘Joy will be joining the council for the first time,’ Hanif said adding that he would attend the council as a councilor of Rangpur district.

Hanif was addressing a meeting of the office sub-committee for the 20th national council preparatory committee at the political office of the AL president at Dhanmondi in the capital city, according to a news agency.

Party presidium member Obaidul Quader, who is the convenor of the office sub-committee, attended the meeting, presided over by AL organizing secretary Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury.
