Liberation War believers will leave BNP: Hanif

Awami League joint secretary general Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif said, the BNP leaders who believe in the spirit of the Liberation War will leave the party.

He came up with the remark at Awami League President Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi office on Wednesday, hours after BNP Vice-Chairman Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury resigned from BNP.

Hanif was speaking at a press briefing after a meeting with the mayors and councilors of Dhaka North and South City Corporations.

BNP vice-chairman Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury resigned from party’s all the posts on health ground.

He submitted the resignation letter to BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Wednesday.
