Killed in bed - couple die as bus rams house

A couple was killed and 15 others injured in a tragic accident at Baharampur city intersection in Rajshahi on Wednesday around 2am.

A bus of Keya transport coming from Chapainawabganj ploughed into the rail gate guard room, killing a couple as they slept inside it around 2am.

The deceased were identified as Bashir, 40 and his wife Reshma, 38. The dead bodies were kept at Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital morgue.

Identities of injured people could be known immediately.

Hearing the news of accident, members of police rushed to the spot and sent the victims to the hospital.

In this connection, Aman Ullah, officer-in-charge of Rajpara Police Station, the killer bus were taken to police station but its driver managed to flee away.
