Kidnapper killed in Rangpur ‘gunfight’
Humayun Kabir, who kidnapped a businessman, was killed in an alleged gunfight with police at Pirganj upazila in Rangpur early Tuesday.
Police also recovered jute businessman Hafizar Rahman and seized three daggers, Single-shot firearm and two round bullets from his possession.
Rezaul Karim, Officer-in-charge of Pirganj Police Station, the deceased body was sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
Humayun was the inhabitant of Dekulia village in Barishal district, OC added.
